Write On Wednesdays Exercise 25 - I heard a song on the radio during the week and I thought the lyrics would make an interesting prompt for WoW. So, write the words "The saddest thing I ever heard" on your page, set your timer for 5 minutes and write the first words that come into your head based on the given prompt.

Sie starrte mich an  , wütend, trotzig und die Tränen stiegen ihr langsam in die Augen: Dieser Blick forderte mich heraus wollte eine Reaktion erzwingen, ich wünschte ich hätte einfach an ihr vorbeiblicken können. "Pass auf- es ist viel passiert, ich habe jetzt eine Familie, da ist , " "kein Platz mehr in deinem Leben gewesen ?"unterbrach sie mich harsch und ging einen Schritt auf mich zu . Der Blick , den ich nur zu gut kannte, die Wut die ich so sehr verstand und diese zerstörerische Selbstsicherheit, die schon lange nicht mehr zu meinem Leben gehörte, machten  deutlich wie sehr sie an ihre Grenzen ging. Was sollte ich ihr denn bitte sagen? Das ich gegangen war nach dem ich meinen Mann kennegelernt hatte , ein neues Kapitel aufgeschlagen hatte und mit der Zeit immer weniger an meine beste Freundin und das was ich mit ihr erlebt hatte, gedacht habe? Es gab keine Chance das sie das gelten lassen würde und tat ich es denn überhaupt? Wie war es dazu kommen das plötzlich mein 17 jähriges Ich vor mir stand und mich nach dem Menschen fragte der für sie alles bedeutete da wo sie herkam und für mich inzwischen zur Fremden geworden war. 

" Hey ich weiß wie du dich fühlen musst , aber die Zeit vergeht und das Leben geht weiter.Freundschaften sind nicht für immer" das war alles was ich hervorbrachte undmir war klar das es mehr als deutlich war das ich mich hinter meinen Worten versteckte. "Das ist das Traurigste was ich jemals gehört habe" flüsterte sie und  ihr Gesicht zeigte deutlich wie sehr sie mich und ihre Zukunft verurteilte. Sie musste sich so verloren fühlen, dunkel konnte ich mich an das Brausen der Gedanken und Gefühle  dieser Tage erinnern. Wie unter Zwang nahm ich mich in die Arme: "Ich weiß" flüsterte ich inzwischen auch schluchzend.

She stared at me, angry, defiant, and the tears welled up in her eyes slowly: This view challenged me wanted to force a reaction, I wish I could have just look at her past. The look I knew only too well twith this fury and this destructive self-assurance that had belonged to my life not long made ​​it clear how much she went to her limits. What should I tell ye please? That I was gone after I had met my husband, had opened a new chapter and I spend less and less time with thoughts of my best friend and what I had experienced with her​​? There was no chance that she would apply the leave and did I? How was it that suddenly come to my 17 year old me stood in front of me and asked meabout  the person who meant everything to her where she came from and was now become a stranger.
"Hey I know how you must feel , but time passes and life goes on.Freundschaften are not forever," was all I  produced obviosly hiding behind my words. "That's the saddest thing I've ever heard," she whispered, her face showed clearly how much she condemned me and her future. Shehad to feel so lost, I stil remembered rush of thoughts and feelings of those days. As I forcibly took me in her arms: "I know," I whispered, sobbing even now.
